When I am writing, or painting, or even focused on housecleaning, I leave my mind and enter some in between space between myself and the object of my attention. My attention is different. We all have our own meditation, I am kind of obsessive, so I think that I am always meditating in my own unconventional way.
I have to be honest with you, I really don't meditate in the conventional sense. I have tried, but I just don't think that you should have to struggle that hard - then it seems to me that it becomes about the struggle and not about God.

My "revelations", for lack of a better word, the times that I felt that God was speaking to me or showing me things, came in like commercial interruptions to my daily thoughts, you know, "We interrupt this program for an important announcement" kind of thing. My greatest moment, the moment when I felt myself engulfed within the womb of God came in that moment just before waking. But, I don't believe that everything works for everyone. Jesus said, "Don't do what you hate", I am always open - and always welcoming - one of those people considered spacey - my mind may become noisy, but never too crowded.

I agree about beliefs, the last belief that I held that was shattered was probably one of the great moments in my life. My daughter sat down to mediated and went above the earth, was shown a grid that connects all beings - I was astounded because she really didn't believe in anything. I say, whatever allows you to be open is the way.
